Hi, I’m Penny!
I’m a journalist and author who set up this site to share all my favourite bargain-hunting tips and information. I love to live happily and creatively within my means, and can usually be found searching out all the nicer things in life for less.
What will you find here?
- Ideas for living well and getting the most out of life, even when skint
- Budgeting tips, and ways to save even if you think you can’t
- Designer looks at high street and supermarket prices
- Freebies, deals, offers and other ways to slash the cost of the good life
- A cheeky attitude that may turn conventional wisdom on its head
- Moral support for anyone on a low income, or trying to get out of debt
- A preference for tiny occasional treats that won’t break the bank
- Reviews, recipes and recommendations of services and products
- Emphasis on value for money, and creative style on a budget
