Thrifty Christmas decorations: Wilko’s Rustic Glow collection

If you’re hankering after a new look for Christmas decorations this year, there are plenty of options around the high street that are both stylish and excellent value. (For a quick reminder of all the best 2017 Christmas decor trends, have a look at my latest article). My favourite of the whole lot this year has to be Wilkinsons’s Rustic Glow offerings.

Good old Wilko has pulled it out of the bag here, with everything from baubles to candle holders, and all kinds of wrapping paper and gift bags too. The colour palette is natural with a little magic thrown in, using pure white, soft gold, sage green and natural leaves and woods. There’s soft shine, ceramic finishes, and a little glitter for good measure.

Some of my favourite picks from the range are shown above, including a mistletoe wreath (only £10, with a matching garland), glittering leaves for just 80p, a hessian gift stocking for £3, and a pretty string of sparkling jars with glitter and LED lights for £6.

I also really love this decorative tree ladder, £12, which is great for small homes or anyone who prefers to give a traditional tree a miss. Needs fewer baubles to make it look good too.
