It’s that time of year again, and it’s all change for the Autumn. Please join me for a thrifty Autumn Reset Challenge for 2026.

Let’s embrace the coming season, and make the most of that ‘back to school / back to work’ feeling. Expect lots of weekend activities to try, each with a specific flavour. There’ll always be at least one free option too, and the rest will be low cost.

Have a look at the three themed challenge weekends that’re coming up:

  • Weekend 1: Money in, money out
  • Weekend 2: Home & wardrobe reset
  • Weekend 3: Personal & social reset

That should be a nice broad grounding for a more comfortable and interesting autumn season.

Okay, let’s reset!

Weekend 1: Money in, money out

This will be happening next weekend, so look out for the activities checklist if you’d like to join in. Just pick one of the options, ideally your main money priority, and take action.

We’ll be doing a quick personal finance reset, updating for a realistic budget, finding places where money might be leaking out, looking for extra income, and setting one or more intentions for short or longer term goals.

Weekend 2: Home & wardrobe reset

It’s time to get cosy. Let’s sort out those living spaces to say goodbye to summer and hello to autumn. We’ll pick just one or two rooms, have an ‘autumn clean’, then put stuff away and change up the decor.

We’ll also be tidying up those wardrobes, getting organised and making use of storage. New season capsule wardrobe, anyone?

Weekend 3: Personal & social reset

This third weekend will be devoted to learning, growing, relaxing, improving, socialising and anything else that might be a source of personal development. Hobbies, interests and fitness time.

There’ll be a short checklist of simple activities to capture the ‘back to school’ or ‘personal reset’ feeling. It’s designed to be more of a look to the future than doing your life laundry, so let’s build in some fun.

That should get us all off to a flying start for the rest of the cooler months.
