Tenner Week May 2018: Day 3
Hello! How’s your week going so far? We’re already onto Day Three of our latest Tenner Week budgeting challenge, and today’s mini challenge is an old favourite that just had to be brought back. Yes, it’s Pamper Day, so break out all those goodies at the back of the bathroom cabinet and give yourself a relaxing treat.
Most of us have all kinds of toiletries and beauty products stored away that we hardly ever use, often because we’re too busy or because we simply forget to slow down and look after ourselves. Well, today it’s time to make that time.
Pampering means different things to different people, but here are a few ideas to get you started:
- A deep clean with a face mask
- A body scrub or foot scrub
- Body lotion and body butter
- Hand cream or foot cream
- A full manicure or a pedicure
- Deep condition your hair
- Face serums or oils
- Do your eyebrows
- Fake tan for face or body
- Semi permanent hair colour
- Feet up listening to music
- Eating chocolate in front of trashy TV
- A cup of tea and a good book
- Reading your favourite blogs
- Healthy food and plenty of water
- An early night
I’m sure you can think of a whole bundle of other pampering things to do as well, so let’s get pampering, people. Spend at least half an hour on some proper self care and see how happy and relaxed it can make you feel.
What’s happening here
So far this week I’ve watched 45 minutes of TV, and I also went into a gardening shop and spent £2.50 on a herb plant. Okay, I should have kept on walking past the plants but I don’t visit that neighbourhood very often and I needed to replace our rosemary. I potted it on yesterday evening and now hopefully we will have fresh rosemary for many years to come.
I’ve also been keeping myself busy and finished sowing up a whole herb garden from old and swapped seeds to last us right through for the rest of the Summer. Meanwhile, we’re running out of milk…
How are you finding your budget? Are you doing the optional TV Diet as well?
