Tenner Week March 2015: Day three
It’s Day Three of our latest Tenner Week, and it’s time to start putting a little bit of money back into our own pockets.
Today’s task is to put the items we picked out yesterday up for sale. Let’s get them listed!
Where will you sell them? You can send them off or hand them over to a bulk buyer if you like (Music Magpie, CeX, Cash Converters etc), if you’re hoping to make a quick sale.
However, for the best profit it’s usually better to sell them individually yourself, as long as you have the time to do the listings.
For example, you could sell via:
- Garage sale or private coffee morning sale
- Blog sale
- Work noticeboard
- Local paper
- Shop window ad
- Car boot sale (if you have enough stock)
If you’re doing listings, remember to use good pictures and to fill out the listing with as much information as you can. This is likely to result in more views and more competition, hopefully leading to a higher sale price. It can definitely be worth the extra effort, especially with high quality or valuable branded goods.
What’s happening here
I’ll be chucking a few things on eBay using their smartphone app, and making sure I don’t undercharge on the postage.
Today’s planned to be a no spend day too, so I’m hoping to catch up on some reading this evening and to get some exercise as well. Also keeping up with the fruit at breakfast time, and defrosted some frozen strawberries and blueberries in the fridge overnight to go into my porridge today.
How’s your budget looking? Are you getting up to anything interesting today?
