About The Range
This company currently has 74 stores around the UK plus an online shop, all stocking a huge variety of well-priced homeware, kitchenware, gardening items, gifts, craft materials and furniture. The Range is a bit of an Aladdin’s cave of bargains, and there’s something in stock for most people’s tastes and budgets.
My experience shopping with The Range
After a big decorating session, I realised that we needed some new bedroom furniture to increase storage and to make it easier to get ready without fuss in the mornings. I chose the Chester high gloss cream dressing table, priced £129.99, as it was just the right size to fit into the window area of the room, and it had a nice light colour with a luxurious finish.
After placing the order, a confirmation email quickly arrived. There was also a secondary despatch email shortly after this, saying that the dressing table would be with me within five to seven days. As promised, the product arrived five working days later by courier
Unfortunately the box was slightly damaged in transit, but upon opening I needn’t have worried – the contents were well packed and padded enough to have survived without even a scratch on them, and nothing was missing. There were even a few extra bolts, dowels and tacks included in with the flat pack, which I thought was a nice touch.
The dressing table was really easy and fairly quick to assemble, and the finished product is stable and sturdy without looking chunky. I have a fair amount of experience assembling flat-packed furniture, so it might take a complete beginner a bit longer to put together, but the instructions were reasonably straightforward and would be simple enough for anyone with a little prior experience to follow.
The assembled furniture looks great – I would even go as far as to say that it looks even nicer in real life than it does in the picture. The gloss finish tabletop has a lovely curved edge to it, which is a nice feminine touch.
All round, it was a good experience shopping at The Range, and I’m really happy with the product that I ordered. It looks excellent in the bedroom, it fits in with the décor very nicely and blends in well with the other furniture, and it’s exactly as described.
Delivery was reasonably quick, as good as the competition, and it was not overpriced. I will certainly be shopping at The Range again in the future too. In particular, the kitchen electricals, preserving equipment and pickling/jam jars, and all the gardening accessories have caught my eye, so that’s where I’ll be looking next.
