SAVE THE DATE: New Tenner Week Challenge starts Monday 25th September!

There’s a brand new Tenner Week budgeting challenge coming up, and the first official day is Monday the 25th of September. Save the date!
If you’ve never tried a Tenner Week before, it’s a budgeting challenge we’ve been doing here on this site since 2010. You have to live on a tight budget for seven days, and there’s also a new and free activity to try on the site every day to keep things interesting.

The new theme for this Tenner Week Challenge
We have a brand new theme every time we hold one of these challenges, and this September is going to be ‘Claw it Back!‘ Week.
September has a real ‘back to school’ or ‘back to business’ feel about it each year. However, it nearly always falls at the end of an expensive summer, where many of us have gone over budget or been stung by the general cost of living.
It’s the perfect time to start clawing some of your money back, and make an extra effort to get your finances into shape again. Have a week when you cut your spending right back to basics, look for some fun freebies, get back anything you’re owed, and maybe make a little extra cash as well.

Try the optional Sunday Stocktake
As always, there will also be a Sunday Stocktake exercise the day before the Tenner Week officially starts. It’s completely optional, but it’s highly recommended because it can potentially save you time, stress and money in the long run.
If you want to join in with the Sunday Stocktake then drop by this site first thing on Sunday the 24th of September. The whole exercise will be laid out step by step for you, and it’s very easy to follow along with it.
You can expect a speedy food and drink stocktake first, to make sure you eat well through the next few days and use up what you already have. That’ll be followed by a quick themed stocktake to help you make the most of the daily activities, and generally keep yourself amused.
Get a FREE Tenner Week spending diary
There’s going to be a free printable Tenner Week spending diary available for everyone who wants one. It’ll have loads of extra budgeting prompts and tips on it to help you get the most out of the challenge. That’s coming very soon, so keep checking back in with this site for your copy.
I’m really excited to get cracking on this latest Tenner Week, and I hope you’ll be able to join in too.
Who else needs to ‘claw it back’ after an expensive summer? Are you in?
