Penny Choose: Mellor & Russell Miracle Moisture Hair Repair Mask
If summer has been playing havoc with your tresses, this reasonably-priced pick of the week will come to the rescue. And it’s only £1.00!
This week’s Treat Under a Tenner is the Mellor & Russell Miracle Moisture Hair Repair Mask. It’s described as a ‘deep conditioner for soft & shiny hair, with argan oil’, and you get 150ml for £1.00.
The five main ingredients are: water, cetearyl alcohol (a moisturising agent), glycerin (humectant), cetyl alcohol (another moisturiser), and shea butter extract. The argan oil is way down on the ingredients list at number 10, so I’m not sure whether it’s going to have much of an effect, but that doesn’t matter really because this product still works nicely as a deep conditioner.
It says on the tube to leave it on for 3 -5 minutes after shampooing, and it does have an effect within this timeframe. If you’d like to make the product work even harder for your money, you can leave it on for longer and put a shower cap or a warm towel over your hair.
It gives a really good result for the price, and I’ve had more luck with this product than most of the ones that are on sale as around the £5 – £10 mark, which is why it’s my treat of the week.
This hair mask is available at branches of Superdrug. I’m not sure whether it’s an exclusive to the shop, or whether it’s one of their semi-disguised own-brand products, but either way, I reckon it’s worth a go.
Have you tried the Mellor & Russell Miracle Moisture Hair Repair Mask yet? Would love your opinion.
