Penny Choose: Lidl Bellarom White Chocolate Strawberry Crisp
Time for more Treats Under a Tenner, and today it’s a sweet little treat for you. Here’s a quick review of Lidl’s Bellarom White Chocolate Strawberry Crisp.
This is a decent sized bar of white chocolate, with a generous amount of sweetened dried strawberry pieces all the way though it. You get 200g for your £1.09, which is a lot of chocolate for the money.
It tastes a fair bit more expensive than it really is, and the white chocolate is smooth and creamy. Each bar breaks up into ten thick chunks for satisfying scoffing, and the dried strawberry pieces are aromatic, sweet and tangy.
The two main flavours in the bar go very well together, and it’s nicely balanced with a touch of vanilla. So there you have it, strawberries and cream in a bar. It’s like a fancy big slab of Wimbledon.
Unless you have a deep dislike of white chocolate, or a severe allergy to strawberries, I’d say definitely think about picking one or two of these up next time you’re in the supermarket.
Available in-store at most branches of Lidl.
