New Uniqlo U collection with Lemaire
The full Uniqlo U 2025 Summer Collection has finally arrived in the shop, featuring some versatile brand new garments created with Lemaire. This French design house is known for its sleek, contemporary urban designs, often with a sporty twist.
As with the Paris Lemaire catwalk collections, this collaboration includes womenswear, menswear, and unisex clothing. For true Lemaire style, look out for items to layer in a single colour or tone-on-tone to build the best looks.
The Uniqlo U unisex garments are mostly tucked away in their menswear section, including shots on female models, so don’t sleep on those. The on-trend denim bermuda shorts (above) seem to be floating in a category of their own – but behold, they are here!
Uniqlo U 2025 summer colour palette
The Uniqlo U base colours this season are black, light and dark grey, natural (a buttermilk shade), and light beige. The black, dark grey and beige colours are set to continue through autumn/winter if you’re looking for longevity.
Incidentally, this year’s Spring/Summer Lemaire catwalk collection contained a few accent colours of dark brown and the occasional pastel colour. The pastel Uniqlo U crew neck tees are well worth a look, and I think they’ll be restocking the brown tops in the next week or two.
For AW25, the designer collection colour pops will be red and rich purple. Get ahead of the trend with a great quality Uniqlo U supima cotton purple t-shirt, sleeveless shirts, the jumper/sweatshirt, bermuda shorts or a cross body bag.
Best buys and stand-out pieces for SS25
There’s plenty to choose from, but if you only buy one thing then the hooded trench coats, relaxed suit jackets and blouson jackets all capture the essence of Lemaire. Already reasonably-priced, they’re currently on offer, from £39.99.
The trousers section is another place to pick up a best buy with plenty of styles to choose from, including sporty curved trousers, cotton wide trousers, jersey slightly cropped trousers and smart cotton lyocell pleated trousers.
Sadly no jeans this season, but the trousers can be relied upon to give your looks a fresh update. And don’t forget the bermuda shorts.
Uniqlo U sizing and quality
I own several Uniqlo U pieces, and can vouch for the quality of the fabric and stitching. They also wash well, and classic designs still look contemporary several seasons later. This is the place to get those holy grail white or cream tees and vests that aren’t see through.
One thing to look out for is the sizing – some of it’s a fraction bigger than average high street options. This is great for shirts and t-shirts as they skim and don’t cling, but you may end up needing a smaller trouser size than you usually take.
All in all, this new Uniqlo U 2025 summer collection is a great way to get some designer looks for less. It hits the sweet spot between workwear and casualwear beautifully.
