My decadent boho wish list

My decadent boho Christmas wishlist 2025 gift guide

Is it that time of year again already? Yikes! In that case, I’d better put my decadent festive wish list together, because it’s always fun to think about a few little indulgences.

All together now: something you want, something you need, something to wear, and something to read! Here’s what’s tickling my fancy right now.

Hey, Santa…

Mint Velvet burgundy abstract print midi dress

Dear Santa, please bring me one of these pretty dresses, something that’s perfect to dress up and dress down to suit whatever mood or occasion I find myself in. This dress with a seasonal burgundy print would be great for dinner and drinks, or smartened up for work meetings.

Monic Vinader gold vermeil Nomade small hoop earrings

I’d love a wear-everywhere pair of earrings this Christmas, and this chic design’s caught my eye. These slightly organic twist-shaped hoops have a thick plating of 18K gold layered over sterling silver, and they’re great quality. Currently half price, now ยฃ75 in the sale.

PG’s Tips: The Astrid & Miyu jewellery sale is really good this year too. Definitely worth a look.

Sosandar burgundy leather pointed toe knee high boots | ยฃ123.75 in sale

Sosandar burgundy leather knee high boots with pointed toe

An elegant pair of dark red leather boots to pair with all kinds of dresses and skirts. Just what I wanted for a subtle pop of seasonal colour, and they’ll look spot on for loads of outfits now the weather’s cooled. Most sizes have already sold out on the Sosandar website, but M&S still has good stock.

Fortnum & Mason Rose & Violet Creams Infusion | ยฃ10.95

Fortnum & Mason rose and violet creams infusion tea

A little tea break is good for the soul, and this little caddy of tea bags looks delicious. Cocoa shells, rose petals, and a hint of violet, to go with their famous chocolates. Far too pricey to justify buying it on the regular, but a bit of what you fancy does you good, right? And it is Christmas, after all.

Souluxe burgundy marl long sleeve yoga top | ยฃ12.00

Matalan Souluxe burgundy marl longsleeve exercise top

I’m asking Santa for this Souluxe longsleeved exercise top, because the relaxed fit is perfect for doing cold weather yoga in. Anything that gets you off the sofa at this time of year’s most welcome, especially if it looks good, feels nice on and washes like a dream.

PG’s Tips: Have a peek at the rest of the Matalan Souluxe sportswear range while you’re there, and don’t miss their huge seasonal sale.

Cory Doctorow new ‘Enshittification’ book | RRP ยฃ22.00 (hardback)

Enshittification book by Cory Doctorow

Or, to give this new book its full title, Enshittification: Why Everything Suddenly Got Worse and What To Do About It. An incisive exploration of the ways online platforms have deliberately attracted, abused and exploited their users – and what we can do about it. Currently out as an ebook, audiobook and hardback book, all with various promotional offers.

FIND AT >> Waterstones, Hive Books, and Amazon UK.

PG’s Tips: Well, you’ve got to keep the old grey matter active and up to date, and turning those paper pages makes a nice change from doomscrolling on the mobile.

Wes Anderson exhibition & afternoon tea | From ยฃ19.69 & ยฃ38.95

Design Museum London Wes Anderson exhibition and afternoon tea

If you can’t work out what gift to buy someone, look for something to eat, something to keep, and something to do. Well this double treat at London’s Design Museum ticks the ‘eat’ and ‘do’ boxes just fine, with an added dash of whimsy. First, tickets to Wes Anderson: The Archives (the first retrospective exhibition of the film director’s work), then on to the Design Kitchen for the Courtesan au Chocolat afternoon tea inspired by the exhibition.

FIND AT >> The Design Museum, and Design Kitchen

PG’s Tip: Yes, the afternoon tea does include that exceedingly over the top piece of patisserie from the Grand Budapest Hotel. If you know, you know.

Seen anything you like the look of?

What do you want Santa to bring you this year?
