Looking ahead on the Penny Golightly blog
Hi everyone. Well, it’s been one heck of a strange year hasn’t it? After some time out to think and regroup I’m ready to come back and get on with the money saving, and the ideas for living well on a budget. There are are still good people to connect with and worthwhile projects to start, plus other initiatives to get involved with and support.
With that in mind, I’ve been thinking ahead and setting a few intentions and goals for this site, and in my personal life too. Thought you might like a quick run down of what to expect in the next few days and weeks, so here goes.
Next few days
I’m going to be looking at ideas to reduce food waste later this week, so get ready to love those leftovers. There will also be a few cheap and cheerful ways to keep yourself entertained in the wintery months, and some tips to help you make the most of the Boxing Day and New Year sales.
January
There will be a big 30-day Jump Start Challenge this month, with daily activities and a new theme each week – and there will be something new or really cheap to try every day. The third week is going to be a Tenner Week, as I suspect quite a few of us will be skint just before payday during the first month of 2017.
It’s all going to have a loose theme of ‘Shake off that festive financial hangover & take on 2017‘, so there will be some days for saving money, others for making money, and still more about freebies and ways to enhance your life without spending a lot. We’ll be keeping body, soul and bank account together on a shoestring, so please join in from January 1st.
If there’s any subject you’d especially like to see featured then please let me know, and I’ll try to fit that in if time, theme and resources allow.
Can you make it for some or all of the Jump Start? Hope to see you for these latest activities.
This looks good to me something to look forward to in the New Year. Regards Harriet
Sounds Interesting! Looking forward to reading all about it. Regards Trish
Looking forward to the new challenge, I’ve already worked out a budget for January…will be good to join in with others and hopefully pick some some useful tips
