Jump Start May: Health & Beauty Week: Day 7
It’s the final day of the final week of our May Jump Start, and today’s Health & Beauty activity is to slap on a face pack or a hair mask, or both. Yes, we’re finishing up with some pampering, and it’s time for a well earned treat.
You don’t need to spend a fortune on these products, and you might own already own something nice that you can use.
For a face mask, apply to clean, dried skin. It’s up to you what sort of mask you use, whether that’s clay for deep cleansing, or a brightening, hydrating or moisturising mask.
You could also make your own at home. For example you could use:
- Oats with honey (soothing)
- Mashed banana (hydrating, softening)
- Mashed avocado (moisturising)
- Live yogurt (brightening)
If you have time, some kind of hair mask would be great too. Most high street chemists stock some great ones, catering to various hair types.
If you don’t have any hair masks handy, most ordinary conditioners for dry hair can simply be left on the hair a little longer than usual for a mask effect. Pop on a shower cap or some cling film for extra help.
Have fun and give yourself a bit of pampering today. Take it easy and relax, you’ve earned it!
I’ll be back soon with a look back over the Tenner Week challenge, and a look forward to more things for the Summer.
Do you have any favourite hair or face masks to recommend? Or any good home face mask recipes?
Ah, I really like this idea! I was thinking about trying a homemade face mask. I hear eggs are good!
I think egg whites can have a temporary ‘tightening’ effect on the skin, but I’m not a big fan of raw eggs 🙂
