Finally we’re approaching the closing stretch of our 30 day Jump Start Challenge for May, and today we’re back on the fitness side of things for Day Six of Health and Beauty Week. Today’s activity is to do some aerobic exercise.
Okay, that doesn’t mean jumping about like Jane Fonda in the 80s or doing the grapevine across the dancefloor in an electric blue and cerise leotard (unless that’s your thing, in which case, er, nobody’s judging). Nope, today is just about doing some continuous exercise to get your heart rate up a bit and not taking lots of breaks until you’re done.
Remember to warm up properly, cool down properly, and drink water afterwards. Also, don’t overdo it if you aren’t fit.
Some ideas to get you started:
- Brisk walking
- Jogging or running
- Exercise bike, rowing machine, elliptical trainer etc (gym equipment)
- Dance class
- Exercise videos
- Rollerblading or skating
If you’re a member of a gym or fitness club, find out what classes they have available. Your local leisure centre might have some interesting options too.
Also, if you aren’t too fit or haven’t exercised in a while, please get a checkup from your GP first.
