Five things I’m loving this week: Mid June 2019

review 5 things I love this week mid June 2019

It’s time for another batch of treats, and this week I’ll be doing five new reviews of all sorts of goodies. As usual, most of it’s priced at £10 or less, it’s on sale or in an offer, or it simply offers great value.

Hema yellow flower print cushion cover | £8.00 | Buy here.

These 100% cotton cushion covers are an easy way to give your sofa a cheery quick refresh. 50cm x 50cm, with a hot pink and white bird-of-paradise flower pattern. Look out for other clashing and coordinating cushion covers and accessories on their website.

Wilko tropical print double wall bottle | £5.00 | Buy here.

A very reasonably priced bottle for both hot and cold drinks, with a fun print that wants to be taken out on a picnic or to a festival as soon as the weather improves. Part of a range of bottles with different colours, prints and finishes that look just a little bit like a certain designer range…

Collection sheer lip colour SPF 15 in ‘Fudge Delight’ | £3.99 | Buy at Boots (offer) or Superdrug.

Speaking of sunshine, this light brownish-nude lip colour from Collection is perfect for the beach – adding a tint of colour, moisture and some handy sun protection. It also reminds me of a far more expensive BareMinerals lipstick that I own and it has a very similar effect – in fact I slightly prefer the Collection version for the colour and the SPF. Currently in a ‘buy 1 get 1 half price’ offer at Boots if you’re looking for things to update your makeup bag or take on holiday.

Hema pack of 3 A6 notebooks | £1.00 | Buy here.

A trio of lined 80-page notebooks for scribbles, doodles and flashes of brilliant motivation. Excellent value for only £1, and nice enough to keep around – but not so fancy it puts you off writing all over them.

Dalston’s Fizzy Rhubarb drink | £1.01 per can / £22.12 for 24 | Buy cans from Superfood Market, or packs of 24 from Amazon UK.

A non-alcoholic sparkling soda that’s made with spring water and with real natural rhubarb. Relatively low in sugar, with a delicious fresh fruity taste. A refreshing drink best enjoyed over lots of ice.

Full disclosure: No sponsored or gifted items this week, just things I like.
