Five things I’m loving this week: Early June

Five things I love this week reviews early June 2018

There are five new treats for you this week, each representing top value or something unique, and prices starting from only £2.00. There seems to be quite strong tropical / travel theme this time, so enjoy the palm trees, coconuts and exotic blooms.

My first pick is this large water repellent outdoor cushion from Wilkinsons, £16.00, with this cheery flowers and butterflies print to turn your outdoor space into a little oasis. It’s 60cm x 60cm, just the right size for lounging about on, reading a good book.

The enamelled bowl with its simple leaf design is from HEMA, costing £5.00. It goes with tropical, traditional or vintage decor, and is just the right size for party snacks or taking on a picnic, or to display on a kitchen shelf or windowsill. Will last for years if you take care of it.

Also from HEMA we have this leaf-print clipboard for only £3.00. It holds fifty sheets of weekly planners which are perfect for getting organised and motivated, and can be propped up on your desk for quick reminders. I love it! There’s also a matching picture, notebook and storage tin, all great styling at low prices.

This brand new Naturtint dry shampoo (£9.99 from Holland & Barratt) is the first unscented dry shampoo I’ve ever tried, so there are no overpowering pongs that clash with your perfume. It’s also made from kinder natural ingredients such as super fine rice powder to absorb excess oil very gently, if, like me, you find the chemically versions a bit uncomfortable on your scalp. It’s a pump action spray too, not a pressurised container, making it compact and handy for travel.

And finally, we have the Sainsbury’s Cocoa & Coconut roobios infusion, £2.00. Yes, it’s a non-caffeinated tea that tastes rather like a healthier version of a bounty bar, and it’s a nice little pick me up when you need an afternoon break. Chuck one in your basket.

  4. Oh I really wish we had a HEMA near us, I love their stuff. The only time I seem to find one is at an airport, and then I am really limited as to what I can buy! 😀 Love that cushion too, that’s perfect for summer, and the pattern is on trend! 🙂

  8. Hi Emma – good news, HEMA will be opening more than 20 new stores around the UK in the next few months. In the meantime their online shop is very good, and I’ve used it a few times.

Hello Kara – The enamel bowl has a diameter of 17cm, so I’d say it’s better for party snacks or a side salad.

  9. Oh I love that bowl and what an amazing price, I love HEMA and haven’t shopped there in a while but I need that bowl in my life!!
