Capsule wardrobe: Day 16
I’m back in the maxi skirt today, and while it looks pretty from a distance (very Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday) I’ve decided it’s just a bit too swishy and bulky to wear on busy days. That might be why it usually lurks unworn at the back of the wardrobe when I have lots of work on.
Tonight I’m going to an awards ceremony courtesy of the organisers so I hereby invoke the special occasion clause from 6pm onwards. It’s only polite to dress up for these things. Back to the capsule challenge in the morning, I promise.
Today’s outfit:
Black jumper, khaki maxi skirt, black boots.

Hi, have been away on holiday & am just catching up with your capsule wardrobe. You’re doing a great job. Been considering something similar myself but not had the confidence to try… maybe I will now though! keep it up!! 🙂

Hi Rhian – thank you for the kind words of encouragement. I’m getting to the point now where I have to stop and check whether I’m duplicating outfits! Reckon a wardrobe of 24 basics should give you about 55 combinations of outfits but not all of them will look good. So far, so good though. Let me know if you decide to give it a go – I might do another one in mid-October with different clothes… x
