It’s the last day of Jump Start January, and what a great month it’s been. So great, in fact, that I’ve decided to carry on with quite a few of the things I’ve started, so here’s what I’m doing next.

Today I’m drawing together the main things I’ve learned from Jump Start January. It’s been a challenging and interesting four weeks, and I’m really glad I got stuck in and gave it a go.
Firstly, I’ve learned that I have massive resistance to New Year resolutions: they go on forever, each one needs a whole set of habits making and time blocks carved out, and generally it’s quite overwhelming. Personal Finance Week: I went mostly for quick wins during this week, tailored to the current state of my own finances. The whole week was a positive experience, and made me chip away at things I’d been putting off. The seven-day plan pretty much sorted out my finances to date. Read the rest of this entry »
