Those seedlings look good so far Emma, thanks for the link to the new pictures.

All the excellent pictures and links on here have inspired me to get the camera out today, so here's what's happening on the windowsill at Golightly Towers:

QUICK - The BBC Dig In giveaway has started this afternoon. Apply for your free seeds (carrot, basil, courgette, french bean, mixed salad leaves) as soon as you can.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/digin/apply_for_seeds/

According to their website, all of these seeds can be grown in containers, and all of them can be grown on a windowsill.

Some lessons learned about watering microgreens and when to grow basil this week. Also been trying to grow radishes and cucumbers on the shelf above the radiator...

Particularly tasty this week - radish thinnings. They were beautiful mixed into a salad with some cos lettuce and a little thinly sliced cucumber.

By the way, has anyone had their free seeds from the RHS or the BBC delivered yet? I'm still waiting for the ones I sent off for...

My RHS pack has arrived, containing wall planners, recipe cards, container-growing guides and two packets of seeds.

The seeds are Thompson & Morgan, and are Gardener's Delight tomato and an overwintering Nantes-type carrot which should both be very useful. They say sow before 2013 on the packets, which is plenty of time to use them up.

The RHS also have a free iPhone 'grow your own' app http://www.rhs.org.uk/iphone

A well overdue update!

A lot of my plants started to outgrow their pots, so I've re-potted them and popped them out in the greenhouse to take advantage of the sunshine. We've been using the Coriander in our cooking, and I'm looking forward to harvesting a few of the Dwarf beans.

Photo quality is a bit blurry, didn't notice until I'd uploaded them :(

That looks fab so far, Emma! You've been so lucky with all those packets of seeds too.

I'll upload some windowsill garden pics later. Week 10 already, can you believe it?

Here's another offer of free seeds. I've being taking all the freebies, whether I think I'll grow them this year or not, most of them will last until next year, or they can be swapped for other types of seed or plant.

Here's the offer:

Free grow your own veg booklet and free Tuscan salad seed mix. Will be offered a trial mag subscription to Which? Gardening magazine, decline politely if you don’t want one http://bit.ly/9NUJEb
